EMR (Electronic Medical Record)

An EMR is an electronic version of your medical records. EMR records are typically created and kept by a single healthcare provider and are not shared “as-is” with others.

The term EMR is also used to describe the system in which these electronic medical records are created and kept. It’s kind of like saying: “I’m going to check my email, to see if I have any new emails” — Your EMR is full of EMRs.
