FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)

Pronounced “Fire”,  FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is the latest standard to be developed under the HL7 organization.

The FHIR framework is based on resources — units of interoperability and modular parts that can be assembled together to solve clinical, administrative and infrastructural issues.

It’s based on RESTful web services and it’s the “gold standard” for the JASON Task Force.
