It’s not the latest dance craze (though if you’re keen, here are some from 2015), but it’s when you click and hold an object with a mouse button and then move it to a different location.
When building healthcare interfaces:
Advantages: Drag-and-drop can be easy and fast (because you don’t need to know how to code); great for very simple integration projects.
Disadvantages: Integration really isn’t ever that easy. Drag-and-drop falls short as soon as you have custom requirements like cross referencing information, accessing lookup tables or implementing unique business logic.
